Richmond Park in the Winter by Jackie Clark

Le Document has selected a tiny painting of Richmond Park in the winter time as its Badge of the Month.

The wooden badge was made and painted by the artist Jackie Clark. Jackie was educated in Melbourne and then did her masters at the City & Guild of London. In 2017, her painting Thames Mudlark was selected for The Evening Standard’s Contemporary Art Prize.

We like the fact London’s largest park has been turned into a tiny badge. And we like that all of Jackie’s badges are unique and special in their own way. As we enter the worst recession since the 1930s many of us are going to be hit hard and will feel powerless. At least if you buy a badge from an artist you can put it on your jacket and become a human gallery.
