January 2020

Hi there star gazers, Happy New year to one and all.

Just about the safest predictions I could make is that it's very unlikely that anyone you meet today will have the star sign, Capricorn. This is simply because less than 5% of the planet's population is born between the 22nd December and the 20th January. If you do meet one, please remember that, although they may pretend otherwise, Capricorns don't like being made fun of in anyway.

Interestingly, there are many famous Capricorns who are artists and writers but very few comedians are Capricorn. The most famous Capricorn comedians are Barry Chuckle and Freddie Starr — neither of which were particularly funny and both of them are now dead. Rather than be a figure of fun, your average Capricorn, like a goat, is determined to not only, succeed but also, wear the Daddy Trousers.

Of all the celebrated Capricorns what's noticeable is that they are people who are famous because they either became a leader of a political party or movement (e.g. Martin Luther King, Justin Trudeau, Chairman Mao, Clem Attlee, The Maharishi, David Lloyd George, Nick Clegg, Ed Miliband etc.) Or, because they became known as being the best at something (e.g. Elvis Presley is the King of Rock and Roll, Dolly Parton is the Queen of Country, Muhammad Ali is the Greatest boxer of all times etc) The reason for this is that Capricorn people are very much goal oriented and they play to win. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the second largest celestial planet in our solar system. Saturn is a giant gas with sixty-two known moons.

A Capricorn man acts like a vacuum sucking up information from everyone he encounters — Bowie was like that with his less successful peers such as Iggy Pop (Taurus) and Lou Reed (Pisces). Bowie also knew who to rip off or pay tribute and which producer or collaborator to work with. David Bowie is a typical Capricorn because he was a workaholic who kept changing and re-inventing himself. Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn, which is associated with the father, fame and honor.

Saturn is also known as the task master and seen as being the planet of long-term commitments If you, dear reader, are Capricorn you have most likely inherited a desire for success and a fear of failure from some kind of twisted relationship with your Dad. I think it's safe to say you either put him on a pedestal or, you had no relationship with him at all.

However, if you are a Capricorn, the good news is, I predict you will enjoy at least 15 minutes of fame in 2020. Saturn will become retrograde on May 11th at 9.30am and become progressive on Sept 29th at 10.40am.

I distinctly remember when Saturn transited Capricorn from 1988 to 1990 — there were non stop heatwaves in Britain, The Berlin Wall came down, Nelson Mandela was released, and The Fine Young Cannibals topped the charts in 27 different countries with their hit, Good Thing.

So, my advice for anyone born under the sign Capricorn is to stock up on the champagne and get ready to have some fun in the second half of the year. See you in the stars!

Love from, Jo Mamma
