Putting My Demons to Bed by David Devant and His Spirit Wife

Here at the Le Document office we can’t get enough of this catchy tune from Dave Devant & His Spirit Wife. It’s 100% pop and a real toe-tapper. But what we like most is this quirky little video that’s been made for the song. It’s very watchable and reminds me a bit of a sketchy Scooby-doo cartoon. The simple drawings and composition mask quite a sophisticated narrative. The lip-sync effect is a nice touch too and I for one am glad to see a video that doesn’t just show a typical film of the musicians bashing out the tune.

The top moment for me is when Mister Devant tells us he’s

Tuck them in and knock them on the head!
Putting my demons to bed.
