Grumbles

Grumbles

Grumbles is located at 35 Churton St, Lillington and Longmoore Gardens, London SW1V 2LT - a short walk from Pimlico tube station. Grumbles has been going for 5 decades and is famous for being a friendly and cosy place to eat delicious and reasonably priced food. Last week I enjoyed a nice pot of Earl Grey tea, and a Grumbles salad (that had broad beans, haloumi and a mustard dressing). The chips I had as a side order were fine but nothing to write home about. They do great fillet steaks and their Creme Brulee comes recommended. The varied menu and wine list are both impressive and there's nothing pretentious about Grumbles - you could imagine everyone you know feeling welcome there. I looked around and saw half a dozen guests celebrating someone's birthday on a table near to me - it was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves. You can also peer into the kitchen and say hello to the friendly chief.
