The city is dreaming
Pulsating and ever changing, dense and complex, elegant and captivating, ruthless and relentless; cities are places where the world reveals itself in all its strangeness and beauty. The city is dreaming is a series that emerged from nightly city wanderings, looking to capture moments of stillness, movement and dreamlike beauty within urban landscapes. At night, when the city enters the “dream time”, its soul reveals itself more vividly. A soul composed of a complex web of human stories and relationships.
The photos show bodies merging into cityscapes, blurring and transforming. We can lose and find ourselves a million times in a city and offer our old stories of self and the world into its fire of transformation.
